Jim Piccirillo is an electrical engineer and a resident of Tucson, Arizona. Jim, has battled diabetes since he was 13. Jim is in end stage renal failure and on dialysis for 9 hours a day, 7 days a week. Piccirillo also suffers from Diabetic Retinopathy, a diabetes complication which is caused by damage to the blood vessels in the tissue at the back of the eye. That resulted in his loss of vision.

Jim has been waiting for five long years for a living kidney donor but he hasn’t given up hope. Wherever Jim goes, his guide dog Bina wears a harness that has a sign on it saying – Wanted: A living Kidney Donor for my dad – Transplant coordinator (860) 972 4632, (520) 694 6241. His wife Judy keeps the faith by putting their business card (with their need for living kidney donor) up at Starbucks or whenever she sees a cork board where people put their business cards up.

Can you give Jim his miracle? Maybe God gave us two kidneys, to give a spare…This is the biggest act of kindness a person can ever do….
