45-year-old Marcia Cunningham is a Luzerne County, Pennsylvania resident. She has been suffering from Polycistic Kidney Disease. She learned of her condition at the young age of nine. Her kidneys were so diseased with fluid and cysts that they became more than 15 times the normal size of an average kidney. In 2014, both her kidneys were removed and since then she is on dialysis. These long years of dialysis and medication robbed her bones of calcium and made her bones so fragile that she could step down at anytime and break a bone in her foot. She even broke a rib couple of months ago, only with coughing. This is no way to live. Marcia Cunningham is on borrowed time each day that passes while she patiently waits on the transplant waiting list. Everyday she prays for a call from her hospital that a kidney has arrived. She fights to be able to play with her two beautiful grandchildren again and be with her own four children. Are you her gift? Maybe God gave us two kidneys, to give a spare…This is the biggest act of kindness a person can ever do….
