20-year-old Nadia Menjivar from Boston is too young to die. This beautiful young lady Nadia has had heart complications since she was a baby and her heart condition was also causing problems for her kidneys. A year earlier in February 2021, Nadia was diagnosed with CKD (chronic kidney disease) while she was taken to the hospital for heart failure.
Nadia’s condition has quickly advanced, and she is in now in end stage 5 kidney disease with both of her kidneys only functioning at 9%. This is a race against time. Nadia needs a kidney transplant from a living kidney donor. She is now under dialysis 2-3 times a week. Nadia is very young and still has a lot of living to do.
