Here are some medical facts about me:

  • In December 2022, I was diagnosed with massive kidney failure and told I urgently need a kidney transplant.  I need a kidney from a living donor, otherwise the average wait from a deceased donor is 3-5 years, and that’s precious time that I unfortunately don’t have.

  • I am O positive and my living donor must also have the same blood type of O.

  • While I’m currently undergoing dialysis, I’m experiencing multiple complications, including having fluid accumulate on my lungs (called pulmonary edema).  This is unfortunately taking a toll on my body and compromising my ability to live a full life.  I’ve always been an active and fit person, so this has been a dramatic life-changing experience.

  • I originally had a viable kidney option through a living donor earlier this year, but sadly, that fell through so I’m unfortunately starting all over again.  To say this process has been an emotional roller coaster is an understatement.

When I’m at my best:

  • I’m very physically active and love to work out at the gym to stay fit.  I enjoy doing karate & also compete in karate championships when I’m able to.

  • I love people and use my combined love of people and technology in my professional career as an IT Customer Service Manager where I’ve been employed at my company for almost 12 years.

  • People who know me describe me as a jovial, upbeat personality with a highly infectious laugh.  Some say they can hear me laughing all the way across the building! LOL!

  • I’ve also been known to give big bear hugs, too!

I would love nothing more than the opportunity to have many more years with my fiancée and all of our kiddos so we can all laugh, love and experience life together.  Bottom line, I desperately need a kidney transplant and my family needs me.  I greatly appreciate anyone out there who is willing to help me, even if it’s as simple as sharing my story with others so I can find a donor match!
