Karen Halleran needs a kidney. Save her life if you have O blood.

For nearly a year, every flu or cold that made the rounds at the office made Karen seriously ill. Even when she wasn’t sick, she’d come home from work completely wiped and go to sleep. This was the health condition of Karen Halleran from Canada, when she was just 33. Unable to figure out what was happening physically, her doctor suggested she may be having a mental breakdown. But Karen knew the difference. On September 28th, 2011 Karen was admitted to a hospital for treatment. After several tests, tuberculosis was suggested and she was quarantined. Around the fifth or sixth day, they realized she was having a pulmonary hemorrhage. Karen’s lungs were filling with blood. Suddenly everything was failing and She was deteriorating. On the eighth night, another test came back and she was diagnosed with a rare disease called Wegener’s or granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is a rare condition where the blood vessels become inflamed. It mainly affects the ears, nose, sinuses, kidneys and lungs. Just 15 days after her diagnosis, Halleran suffered kidney failure and has been on dialysis ever since. Karen had several cardiac arrests in 2019 and by December 2021, she was diagnosed with melanoma, a form of skin cancer. Karen fought with that too and got cleared of skin cancer. Karen is now in search of a new kidney. She is a beautiful wife and mother of three and has everything to life for.  If you are in good health and have a desire to save a life, can you share your spare?
