Jason was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 2002IgA Nephropathy – also known as Berger disease is a kidney disease. It happens when a germ-fighting protein called immunoglobulin A (IgA) builds up in the kidneys. Jason is on dialysis which will keep him alive, but doesn’t work as well as an actual kidney.
