Kathleen Regalado from Michigan was diagnosed with stage 5 chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes. Kathleen was notified by her doctors of her diminishing kidney function. At the time Kathleen’s kidney function was at 40%. Since then it’s dropped to 15%. Though Kathleen is trying to keep herself off of dialysis, she will not have any other choice but to go on dialysis if her kidney function decreases to 10%. Kathleen’s daughter, Holly Behrendt has been active on Facebook trying to reach as many people as possible in the hopes that someone will comes forward as a possible match.
