Comments: Hi, my name is Maryanne and I am 47 years olds. In October of 1999 I married the best man in the world, but 2 weeks after that my world fell apart, I got sick on my honeymoon and was hospitalized and was told my 2 kidneys were failing, needless to say we were in total shock. To this day they do not know what happened. I was on dialysis for 2 years before I had my transplant. My wonderful husband gave me his kidney. The reason I had to wait the 2 years for it was because he had to have 2 surgeries first. I got my new kidney on Feb 12, 2002. Since then I have had a few rejections which now has caused my new kidney to work only 5% now. I am in desperate need for a new kidney, I am having severe trouble walking due to the fact it it causing me to have terrible problems with my back and legs. I would love to do things with my husband but I just don’t have the energy to do so. I waited a long time to get married and then when I did, I got sick. I feel I have let my husband down, but he never complains that I did, he is the most loving person in the world. I am type O blood. The thought of going back on diaylsis is very frightening to me, I get so sick when I am on it. So please if anyone would like to help me so I could have a little time to spend some good healthy time with my loved ones I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for listening to my story.
