Hunter was living life working for the Ball-Chatham school district, as well as, a volunteer firefighter in Divernon. This brave young man was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (IgAN), also known as Berger’s disease in January 2021. Berger’s disease is an autoimmune disease that severely attacks the kidneys. Berger’s disease silently destroys the kidneys and you don’t know it until the damage is done. Hunter has been on dialysis every day. Dialysis is no way to live. He‘s been attached to an at home machine every night to flush all the toxins out of his body. Starting on March 24, 2021 he is officially on the active transplant list at Memorial and searching for a living kidney donor.
