Julian Zadrozny six months ago, found out he had a form of end-stage chronic kidney disease caused by a mitochondrial defect. His case is rare, there has been only six cases recorded so far of the same symptoms. Zadrozny has to undergo daily dialysis while he sleeps as he waits for a new kidney. This 25-year-old young man has to be in bed for 10 hours every day for dialysis.
